Track Car

2005 Cyclone Silver Pontiac GTO

Date Purchased: 02/18/2005
Miles Driven: 80000
Modifications: 18

LS2 6.0L, 11:1, ARH 1 7/8 LT Carbon ceramic headers, CAI, F.A.S.T. 102 Intake, Mega Death Cam, Lunati valve train components, MSD Ignition, 3" straight pipes, no resonators, to Spin Tech "Super Pro Street" muffs (almost too loud, sets off alarms, may have to change), Diablo Tuner, & dyno tuned, Monster Stage 3 clutch, lightweight flywheel, TICK Bleeder, Lovell's springs, Koni Sport Adj. struts, Lovell's Front and Rear RR Bushing, Sub-frame Bushings, Hotchkis adj. sways, complete poly-bushings, BMR STB, Super Pro Front Sway Bar End Links, Ceramic Tint, 245/40/17 & 275/35/17 which is the widest tire fitment, without doing mini-tubs, etc., in the rear. Not much room for tires on the GTO. 0 to 60 in the 3.9's, at sea level, on a cool day <65*. Had a 75 shot, removed. Sounds better than my Vette, and more fun to drive around town or daily. Makes a great drift car!! I've drifted at 90+ MPH and felt safe. The Corvette is not as predictable and will snap loose on occasion, with almost zero warning.

Will probably be kept stock, save for: suspension and exhaust mods. Decided I really like the BMW make. Bought this out of necessity and lucked into a great car. Changed my mind about the brand. So much so, that I'm investigating at selling my Corvette for an E60 M5, 2008-2010, in the near term. Leery of how to properly buy basically a $100K car just several years old. I've been a high perf. GM guy. The BMW is somewhat intimidating due to my lack of knowledge, except for what repairs and upkeep cost on an E60 M5, let alone the insurance premiums for it.
